Only 15% of discarded textiles are collected for repurposing or recycling in the US.

In Southwest Florida, only an average of 7% of textiles are recycled. The rest are landfilled or incinerated.

Quality Exchange and Creative Innovation (QEACI) is focused on keeping textiles in use through clothing swaps and by creating a reproducible system to reuse discarded textiles by empowering local makers to create, grow, market and sell their wares.

What actions are we taking right now?

At our beginning start-up scale, our focus is on organizing community clothing swaps and spreading awareness on the textile recycling industry.

Thanks to collaboration with organizations such as The Naples Pride Center, Keep Lee Beautiful and the help of several local community members, QEACI has been able to coordinate 7 Pop-Up Clothing Swaps in SWFL!

In order to reach our goals and foster a community through sustainability we need to build a diverse team of passionate and driven volunteers to lead the way.
